  • Banking or Insurance focus only, Wealth & Asset Management not a need.
  • Open to second-tier firm super stars with FS experience.
  • Willing to look at strong auditors interested in FAAS, but must have FS background and technical accounting experience.
  • Candidates must have Illinois CPA or transfer their CPA immediately.
  • Candidates MUST be willing to travel 80%.
  • Will also look at assurance candidates (Seniors-Senior Managers, must have FS experience, CPA required).
 
Minimum Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, etc. preferred), CPA, and 5-8 years’ experience as an auditor in a public accounting firm.
  • Strong technical writing skills and advanced risk management knowledge.
  • A deep understanding of the marketplace and commonly used terminology, processes, and tools.
  • A proven record of excellence managing, mentoring, and improving high-performing colleagues.
  • Confidence to research and resolve emerging client issues, including regulations, industry practices, and modern technologies.
  • Ability to think on your feet and challenge existing practices to develop answers to complex issues.
  • Ability to build relationships and identify opportunities for clients to benefit from our knowledge.
  • Ability to take on new responsibilities, listen to clients, negotiate, and think in unique and creative ways.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Consult with clients on complex accounting issues.
  • Collaborate with Partners, Senior Managers, and clients to influence strategy, balancing risk, and client expectations.
  • Ensure Engagement team thoroughly understands clients’ unique needs, ambitions, and expectations.
  • Build relationships with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide seamless integrated service.
  • Manage performance and identify opportunities to improve products and processes.
  • Communicate creative, strategic goals both internally and externally.
  • Listen and understand clients to give them a truly exceptional experience.
