Job Description
Duties and responsibilities: 
The following represents a list of essential duties and responsibilities of an Inspection Supervisor. The General Manager may assign other duties and responsibilities. 
* Safety, Job Coordination, Personnel Supervision, Review and approval of inspection documentation and inspection of products as needed. 
* Ensure that inspectors possess the proper gauging tools and that any special gauging is provided to ensure product compliance. 
* Troubleshoot, as required, critical and key projects where your knowledge and experience may have a significant impact on the success of the project. 
* Provide training for assigned personnel in a proper and safe manner and provide opportunities for them to advance their skill-sets. 
* Consult and make recommendations to the Human Resource Manager concerning all terminations, promotions, vacations scheduling and interim salary increases for assigned personnel. Assist with yearly reviews. Interview potential new hires to the Quality department. 

Safety: 
* Responsible for employee safety in assigned area(s) of responsibility and required to notify Management of any known safety risks in other areas as well. 
* Investigate, complete paperwork and provide the General Manager and Human Resources department all information concerning on-the-job accidents. 

Job Coordination: 
* Be prepared to meet with GM or schedulers and expeditors daily to review status of jobs or projects being developed. 
* Attend staff meetings every other work day or as scheduled. 
* Attend pre-production meetings as required. 
* Review with Quality Assurance Manager any internal rejections and supplier's rejections as required. 
* Process corrective actions as required ensure the actions are adequate and proper to correct the nonconformance and be completed on a timely manner. 
* Perform all activities in such a way as to meet all customer and regulatory requirements and all the requirements of the ISO standards including those that the company is currently certified for ISO 13485 Medical, ISO 9001 Commercial & AS 9100 C Aerospace. 
* Look for and recommend and preventative action or process improvement actions that may come to light to the QC Department. 
* Ensure all 100% Visual Inspection are correctly done and that they are completed in an expeditious manner. 

Personnel Supervision: 
* Schedule and coordinate labor hours for your department personnel and coordinate associates vacations and other scheduled time off. 

Job Requirements: 
* Associate's Degree / Bachelor's Degree of Science Preferred. 
* 5-10 years experience in processing and inspection of high precision manufactured parts using manual inspection tools and automated inspection equipment such as CMM's & Optical System. 
* Full understanding of ISO Standards and Quality Management systems. 
* Ability to converse and communicate with management and hourly personnel. 
* Appropriate technical knowledge and skill regarding machine tooling and machining processes. 
* Ability to use standard computer programs, such as Visual & Microsoft Office.
