Job Description
The Production Management Specialist will manage the production and shipping schedule to ensure the ex-factory date requested by the customer, distributor, or sales. This position will also create the production schedule with proper lead times, and maintain schedule accuracy

  • Create the production schedule to include the first process date and ex-factory date with proper lead time with design, procurement, and production based on the machine specification and request from sales department
  • Daily update the production plan and daily production schedule and keep the accurate production schedule
  • Answer ex-factory date to sales in a timely manner and report about delay accordingly
  • Check the priority and confirm all resources, 4M, and make best use of them
  • Maintain accurate data including the production plan as well as the results and inventory status
  • Analyze the root cause of the delay or problem and provide improvement suggestions to the Production team
  • Confirm all the necessary conditions for exporting machine including incoterm, E/L, check sheet, and all approvals
  • Create manuals and check sheets
  • Observe company rules and regulations
  • Exceptional written and verbal communiqué with internal and external customers:
    • Communicate with sales for machine lead time
    • Communicate with design for design lead time
    • Communicate with procurement & trading for parts lead time
    • Communicate with assembly and machining for production lead time
    • Communicate with EG for run-off schedule
  • Develops and improves manufacturing process to ensure ultimate efficiency for production
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by reviewing production schedules and estimating future requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of CNC Programming 
  • 1-2 years production management experience
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office; Strong Excel skills
  • Strong and persuasive professional communicator
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills, with high attention to detail
  • Mechanical engineering experience preferred
  • Written and verbal Japanese abilities preferred

Work Environment:

General office environment will be experienced. There will be periodic exposure to manufacturing environments which may present hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.

Physical Demands:

Frequent: sitting at desk utilizing computers and phones.
Periodic: business travel (domestic/abroad), standing, walking, repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements. Occasional: bending, stooping, and lifting.
