Job Description
Production Supervisor

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise production line workers with an emphasis on teamwork, safety and excellent sanitation practices in concert with overall company goals and vision, to produce the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost
  • Maintain production records and ensures production workers are completing records correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Analyze production runs and make suggestions for improvement
  • Manage, evaluate and train staff by coaching, conduction performance appraisals, administering corrective action, training and development by on-the-job programs and appropriate off the job programs. Analyzes and recommends manpower requirements, recommends qualifications and individuals for hire.
  • Responsible for making quality products that meet all the Food Safety, GMP, SQF, HACCP, QA, and customer requirements
  • Identifies significant issues related to quality, safety, down time, production problems or any other unexpected issues. Implement continuous improvement methodologies to increase production
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, and follows through on requests in a timely manner.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.  Prefer in Operations Management, Organizational Leadership, Business, Engineering or similar
  • 3-4 years manufacturing supervision experience, must have high-speed packaging in the food or related industry 
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, six-sigma or other continuous improvement tools
  • Good attitude, hard working, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to think outside the box and use root cause analysis to solve problems
  • Able to work in a high-speed facility with the capability of tracking KPI's, efficiencies and implementing lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Computer literate in spreadsheet and word applications
