Job Description
Industrial Automation Products company needs a Product Engineer to oversee all aspects of product support in a team environment.  Responsibility for this group is industrial enclosures, hand tools and cutting tools used in industrial setting in conjunction with industrial automation systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Subject matter expert with responsibility to support products including:
    • Product evaluation and testing
    • Sourcing technical documentation for catalogs, manuals, webinars, application notes, application articles, etc.
    • Technical product training for internal teams
    • Support for new product introductions
    • Backline support for customer support teams
  • Work on life-cycle projects to improve product quality and lower product cost
  • Cross functional servant leader and bridge builder working within the team, with other company teams and with our product suppliers
Qualifications:
  • Requires education in technical discipline with preference for BS in mechanical or electrical engineering or at least 10 years of related experience
  • Requires 7 years' experience in industrial automation market including product application, control system integration, technical support of industrial control products and/or product design. Similar experience in related markets such as building automation, etc. may be considered.
  • Experience with electrical control system design including enclosure selection and panel layout is desirable
  • Experience with agency approvals (UL, CSA, CE, etc.) and CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is desirable
  • Must possess self-confidence, organizational skills, time management skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Must also be able to work on and manage projects independently, meet deadlines and have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to travel for some scheduled domestic and international travel.
