Maintenance Supervisor – Food Processing Facility
 
Our client has an immediate need for a proven and experienced maintenance professional to fill the position of Maintenance Supervisor in this state-of-the art 100,000+ sq. ft. modern food production facility, located in the Hartford Connecticut area., The company is expanding their production operations and their facility and this position is critical as part of the process in developing and leading an expanding maintenance team.

In the position of Maintenance Supervisor , you take responsibility for the day to day activities of all aspects of a multi-shift maintenance team consisting of multi-craft technicians and supervisors. Reporting to the Plant Engineering Manager you will;
 
Lead/guide/direct preventative and predictive maintenance plans to ensure a safe and productive work environment
Lead/ evaluate/ develop maintenance staff so that repair and service activities are completed accurately, safely, and on-time
Plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage maintenance activities (for example planned maintenance programs, shut-downs, or emergency repairs) to rectify break-downs and malfunctions and minimize business disruptions
Monitor the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve timeliness, reliability, and safety standards
Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies and develops requisitions for necessary equipment and supplies in accordance with the budget
Research, evaluate, and recommend new maintenance equipment and tools to enhance the capabilities of the maintenance team.
The ideal candidate will have;
 
7 years demonstrated industrial maintenance experience in a leadership position.
While a BS degree in an engineering discipline is a plus, all consideration will be given for extensive experience.
Military training in maintenance skills a PLUS
Extensive mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Proven ability to solve complex problems
Excellent communication skills, oral and written on all levels
Flexibility and the willingness to be hands on doing what it takes to get the job done
