Minimum Education & Experience
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA with 5+ years’ experience in M&A and Corporate Accounting and 2+ years’ management leadership experience.
  • BIG 4 or Top 10 CPA firm candidates preferred.
  • Experience with valuations of business entities/intangible assets, purchase price allocations, goodwill/long-lived asset impairment, financial analysis/research and M&A/integration project management.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated history of solving multiple and complex operational and accounting issues.
  • Solid understanding of financial statement analysis and financial modeling.
  • Self-motivated with strong desire to exceed expectations and drive positive change.
  • Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills, analytical skills, and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Confidence and leadership skills to present/interact with Executives at company.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines and pressure.
  • Knowledge of corporate taxes and/or sales tax a plus; experience with consolidation accounting/reporting.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct and review M&A due diligence for proposed transaction and communicate with business departments on key accounting issues identified.
  • Proactively identify, research, consult, and draft technical memoranda on significant transactions.
  • Participate in and on certain cases, managing/executing valuation of acquired entities, including partnering with third party valuation firms.
  • Support M&A purchase accounting and certain other implementation/post-merger integration activities.
  • Build relationships across multiple teams with company to foster a collaborative and productive working relationship.
  • Assist Corporate Controller with routine accounting functions and special projects as needed.
