Job Description
TITLE: Inpatient Rehabilitation Services Manager(PT, OT, Speech)
LOCATION: east of Columbus, Ohio

If so, an opportunity to work with an integrated health care system based in east central Ohio is looking for someone to join their team.
The system is a not-for-profit and has over 300 physicians and multiple outpatient care centers throughout the area.
The system is the largest provider in a six county region and a primary referral center.
It offers a higher level of service than what is typically found in a community of its size including open-heart surgery, trauma care, a Level II neonatal intermediate care unit, neurosurgery and
comprehensive cancer services.

Summary:
Responsible for management of assigned department(s) with a focus on customer satisfaction, financial performance, employee professional development, innovation, and change management.  
Includes intra and inter departmental communication and process improvement.
              
Responsibilities:
Develops, implements, and monitors staffing levels for assigned department(s) based upon departmental budget, benchmark data, and state licensure laws.
Reviews, revises, and/or develops rehabilitation services policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies including CARF and HFAP.
Establishes job competencies and performance goals to provide employees with clear expectations and administers staff competencies on an annual basis.
Supports education and provides opportunities for employees to enhance their technical, professional and leadership skills.
Participates in continuing education to acquire skills to support professional goals.
Adheres to all safety policies and procedures and demonstrates actions and behaviors that contribute to the overall safety of all patients.
Monitors performance trends and implements changes/corrective actions to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and hospital policies and procedures.
Maintains a high degree of knowledge in reimbursement trends for inpatient rehab services and monitors compliance with established charge entry procedures.
Provides on-going communication to staff members via departmental meetings, memos, and/or departmental newsletters to promote open and honest communication and to seek feedback and suggestions from assigned staff members.
Demonstrates effective management of human resources to recruit and retain qualified, competent employees.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 2 years clinical or managerial experience in rehab related field.
Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, facilitation, conflict resolution and investigative skills.
Demonstrated excellence with listening, verbal and written communication skills.
Self directed, completes assigned reports by established deadlines and demonstrates effective time management.
Ability to work independently and under pressure in a complex and changing working environment.
Strong leadership and team building skills.
Ability to foster teamwork and promote change.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
Oversees inpatient, acute PT, OT and SP services (PT - 15 staff, OT - 7 staff, SP - 6 staff).
Reports to Director of Rehab & Ambulatory Services (one of the BEST directors in the system) 
Currently, all rehab staff positions are full (so no pressing needs for this manager to hire staff) 
Has one peer manager (Outpatient Rehab Services Manager) 
Epic EMR used 
Current Projects include: Safe Patient Handling program, FEES implementation, Mobility Assessments with nursing, and Length of Stay (LOS) analyses 

COMPENSATION:
The range is between 74K-99K depending on experience. It will be quoted hourly. 
The position offers relocation and a great benefit package.
