Job Description
The company is a leading, privately held national food service company serving business and industry, education, healthcare and the entertainment sectors. 
The client is a global leader in higher education with 900 undergrad and graduate students. 
The program consists of a retail dining cafe with 8 featured dining concepts and high volume catering.  
$3.5mm in managed volume.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

Responsible for the day to day food production operations to include menu and recipe development, production, food quality and food safety standards. 
Flexible menu design, culinary creativity, made from scratch recipes, fresh local products with a network of culinary support.
With company support, standardize menus, recipes, policies and procedures, establish controls in minimizing food and supply waste. 
Order food, kitchen supplies and equipment. 
Conduct regular physical inventory of food and non-food items and maintaining appropriate inventories. 
Prepare budget; project annual food and labor costs and monitor financial results. 
Hire, orient and train production team of 30 and manage production team members’ schedule.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years’ experience in a Chef role with campus dining, knowledge of meal plan structures and catering finesse as well as demonstrable success in campus engagement.
Creative and innovative in menu development, staying on trend and in tune with preferences and tastes.
Management experience in leading a team with solid training, mentoring and delegating skills to include organizing, prioritizing with a passion towards quality, safety and sanitation.
