Job Description
Responsibilities:  The role of the Industrial Electrician is to properly install, service, repair, adjust, and maintain equipment to ensure the safe electrical operation of all machinery and plant facilities.  Specific duties include:
  • Read, write and follow manufacturer’s manuals on installation, maintenance, repair and overhaul of electrical.  Must be able to size and calculate jobs with a knowledge and understanding of N.E.C.
  • Read, understand, interpret and draw electrical schematics and blueprints. Provide a means of notification/communication during non-working hours for emergencies.  Respond to emergency calls within thirty (30) minutes.
  • Supervise and direct electrical installation, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment, machinery, and plant facilities as well as trouble-shoot and diagnose electrical problems within the plant and/or facilities.
  • Must be able to trouble-shoot and diagnose problems.
Requirements:  The successful candidate will have 10 years of experience in a manufacturing setting doing electrical and mechanical repair on processing equipment
  • Broad experience in the electric trade including the installation, testing, inspection, maintenance and repair of electrical distribution, control and transmission equipment (Three Phase 480, 220, and 110 volts and programmable controls.
  • Must have knowledge of Eddie current drives and variable frequency motor controls.  Trouble-shoot and design controls, 3-phase circuits, advance control circuits and trouble-shoot motor circuits.
  • Thorough knowledge of plant electrical layout, wiring, parts, supplies, circuits and controls.
  • Must know shop math and interpret blueprints and schematics.
