Job Description
VP Business Development:
  • Establish financial and operating targets and ensure alignment with strategic plan
  • Prospect and penetrate organizations to generate relevant leads
  • Provide business analytic strength to help drive initiatives critical to ongoing growth
  • Exploring & analyzing market trends, potential for new services & in-depth research for building up new services
  • Analyze key challenges of target market segments
  • Meet/exceed revenue targets for market research operations and associated service line/functions
  • Exceed sales, pricing and yield goals
  • Develop proposals, developing requisite services / solutions to convert prospects to clients and to ensure all commitments can be met and business is profitable
  • Ensure professional associations are built with client key decision makers (strategic buyers / economic buyers as well as end users) and ensure a positive relationship with them
  • Create persuasive sales presentations using market trends, case studies
  • Stay abreast of relevant market related information in order to identify right opportunities
  • Responsible for pre-sales consulting, business proposals, customized samples for assigned initial pilots/trials
  • Generate and qualify sales leads
  • Support sales through meeting, seminars, presentations to key decision makers  - clients and prospects
  • Formulates objectives, plans & functional procedures for the team i.e. lead generation, research & Tele sales team
  • Assist in marketing initiatives such as creating marketing collateral, pre-sales pitch, participating in seminars, conferences, trade-shows, active membership in relevant associations etc.
  • Effectively utilize CRM tools towards providing sales MIS to the management
  • Coach/train team members as requested
  • Develop, groom, coach colleagues so that they are able to perform better / as per the business objectives
  • Establish good working relations with operations to ensure clients’ needs are met at all times
  • Champion culture by role modeling behaviors
  • Ensure data confidentiality, integrity and protection of company's intellectual property
  • Ensure productive work relationships are established with all relevant internal functions

  • Minimum 5-10 years overall work experience, including at least 5 years of consultative selling experience, selling into target companies with an emphasis on selling solutions.
  • History of meeting and exceeding quotas
  • Experience selling to, and interacting with, C-Level stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Preferred experience or knowledge of the automotive industry and dealership domains
  • Demonstrated ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • Consulting experience a plus Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrates high leadership capability
